President Trump gave an interview at Mar-a-Lago with two of the most popular conservatives on radio: Buck Sexton and Clay Travis.
The two of them took over Rush Limbaugh’s time slot.
Buck is a news guy, and Clay is a sports guy, so the interview was very interesting.
One portion of the interview that has caught many people’s attention is Trump telling America that “something is about to happen.”
Of course, everyone is aching for some “patriotic plot” to unfold, and magically make these godforsaken commies disappear.
I don’t think that’s what President Trump meant, however.
And I am not getting all, “trust the plan” on you, but I do think Trump smells change in the air. It’s definitely swirling about, and I have a feeling that’s what he was referring to and I think he’s spot-on.
Sometimes it takes something really drastic and powerful to wake people up… and I think 2020 and COVID have done that on an epic level.
As hard as it was to go through it, I think we had to, in order to open more eyes if that makes sense.
Here’s the context of the statement that President Trump made about “something happening.”
BUCK: You’ve got people listening all across the country, Mr. President. You got about a minute. What do you want them to know, ’cause right now a lot of them are writing into us; they’re worried. They’re worried about what’s happening in this country.
PRESIDENT TRUMP: Our country has never been in a situation like this. Our media is broken and corrupt, as you look at, like, CNN as an example. But you look at the Times and you look at what they write, it’s so wrong, it’s so wrong, and it’s been so wrong, the Russia, Russia, Russia, everything. We’re gonna come back, we’re gonna come back strong, we’ll be bigger and better and stronger than ever before. Something’s gonna happen.
CLAY: Last question for you, and this is a fun one ’cause I know you’re a big sports fan. Tom Brady retired.
PRESIDENT TRUMP: Yeah.
CLAY: Do you think he’s done, or do you think he’s come back and play? I know you’ve had a relationship with him over the years. He obviously had a very good final year with the Bucs. Kind of suddenly retired. Do you think it’s done or do you think he’ll come back?
PRESIDENT TRUMP: I think he’s coming back because I watched the way he… You know, everyone said he was retiring but he didn’t sort of say that. I think he might come back and, if you look at statistics, he was leading virtually every category.
CLAY: He was incredible.
PRESIDENT TRUMP: So, I hope he comes back. He’s a great guy.
The part about Tom Brady got cut off in the short clip below, so I thought I’d include it above, for anyone who wanted to know what President Trump said about it.
One thing that also struck me about this interview, was how beautiful that Mar-a-Lago ballroom is. When I first saw it, I thought…”What is President Trump doing in Versailles?”
If you want to read the transcript from the entire interview, it’s very interesting.
