This is the third Capitol riot officer in 7 months who has committed suicide, doesn’t that strike anyone as very odd?
A shocking report is coming out of DC, involving the Capitol police department.
It turns out that a third police officer who was involved in the melee has suddenly committed “suicide.”
Here’s what reporter Hugo Lowell is saying:
“New: DC Metro Police say a third officer who responded to the Jan. 6 Capitol attack has died by suicide”
“MPD Officer Gunther Hashida, a veteran of the force who joined in May 2003 and assigned to the Emergency Response Team within the Special Ops Division, was found deceased at home on July 29, the dept says.”
CBS 58 reports that a DC police officer who responded to the US Capitol insurrection has died by suicide, according to the Metropolitan Police Department.
“Officer Gunther Hashida, assigned to the Emergency Response Team within the Special Operations Division, was found deceased in his residence on Thursday, July 29,” department spokesperson Kristen Metzger told CNN in a statement.
Hashida joined the Metropolitan Police Department in 2003 and responded to the Capitol on January 6, Metzger said.
“We are grieving as a Department and our thoughts and prayers are with Officer Hashida’s family and friends,” Metzger said.
This is the third known suicide of an officer who responded to the Capitol during the attack, and it is the second known suicide by a DC officer specifically.
Metropolitan Police Officer Jeffrey Smith, a 12-year veteran of the force, and US Capitol Police Officer Howard Liebengood, a 16-year Capitol Police veteran, also responded to the insurrection and later died by suicide.
A recent Senate report into the security failures of the day lists both Smith and Liebengood among those who “ultimately lost their lives” following the attack.
Jeffrey Smith, a 12-year veteran patrolman committed suicide, as did Howard Liebengood – both shortly after the event at the Capitol.
Seems very odd that this many officers would “kill themselves” after that incident, doesn’t it?
Three within a 7-month time frame?
That doesn’t strike anyone as odd?
If we had decent journalists, somebody might be curious and look into this matter to see what, if anything, might be going on.
But sadly, we don’t have a curious media, so nothing will be investigated or looked into at all.
